My Review of Good Hair!

So I saw the movie, I must say it opened my eyes a bit more to how lost as a race we are. Some of us are sooo ignorant it's quite disgusting actually. Black women are soo insecure it soo sad and to think this hair business that is 9 billion dollar business is solely based on our own insecurities as black females. People are cashing in all over the world on our insecurities. Some of us don't like ourselves and to think that most people will relax or put extensions for the sole purpose of not feeling pretty enough or not "fitting in" to the western society of beauty. God forbid if we show our "real" selves what will the world think? Not to mention the health concerns on applying sodium peroxide(relaxer) to your hair the long term effects that can cause.

This industry was created for us to fit in(creator Madam C.J Walker), and sorry news flash we are black, no matter how many wigs or weaves or perms we get you are black that's all they will ever see. Personally I accept my self fully as a black female from my skin to my nose, lips, round rear, large hips and all, but I always thought to myself why not my hair? Now I'm down for changing up my do cause I want a new look but if we are doing it for the sole purpose of "I feel prettier with some girls hair from India on my head, or straight relaxed hair then my own is a PROBLEM!" Now I am not perfect I will probably rock a weave again at some point in my life change is good, but not because I feel prettier or more feminine!

Anyhow ladies and gents this is just my 2 cents nothing to take to heart just my random thoughts. Go check it out for yourselves and gather your own opinion!

So if you don't know already you should know that a good primer is a must so your foundation can glide on and stay put! The magic potion in a bottle does just that! At first I was a bit skeptical about the texture and I wasn't sure it was going to deliver but sure enough it did! It have a smooth, soft texture that is silky soft and good on ultra smooth I HEART THIS PRODUCT!! Ladies if you are in the market for a primer this one comes highly recommended my make up didn't even budge plus it has SPF 20 great for those summer days!

I love Tarte cosmetics cheek stains I have been a fan for awhile, so I love it when the add more colors to their FAB collection! Personally I am a coral, peach cheeked wearing girl almost daily! Tarte promotes long wearing stains and they really do last all day which is key now that summer is arriving!

Held on the last Sunday of every month at the Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District, Portobello East will feature over 80 talented designers and artisans. I have been using the Lancome Minerale line for a few weeks now and I am really enjoying the line. I love how fine the powder is and how the product really delivers on what it says it's made to do! I love that it has a built in sunscreen of SPF 21 and it is %100 percent natural. I do find that allot of these lines say they are mineral products but still contain unnatural ingredients. To add to these FAB foundations, Lancome has some of the softest well built brushes I have ever used! The face brush that you can purchase along with the line is like velvet on your face pure luxury!

So I got a chance to sample Lise Watier newest mascara 24hrs Lash Mascara from their new 2009 Spring Collection Savanaa Dream. Ok so I'm so convinced that the people at Lise Watier ARE the GURUS of mascara creation!! I thought they out did themselves with their previous mascara Mascara WOW, but they have managed to create a mascara that in my opinion put all other mascara's to shame! LADIES you need this mascara in your makeup collection it is a MUST HAVE!

So enough of my telling you how great it is here is why, this mascara provides extreme wear while boldly lengthening and volumizing lashes ( I mean literally, I accidentally feel asleep with this mascara on one night, and I woke up quickly looked in the mirror in my morning rush and could have sworn I put on faux lashes the night before. But I didn't, it was my 24hr lashes starring right at me at attention!!).

It's elastic polymer formula and its Flexi-QueenTM brush surround each lash with a 3D waterproof film to create a 24-hour, infinitely glamorous look. So basically instead of the usual mascara that just coats your lashes this formula wraps around your lashes creating a shockingly faux lash look without the faux lashes! Also shipment of handbags and accessories come in every two weeks so you will be able to get fresh goodies frequently! How do you ask did Adwoa merge the concepts together? YES every one you are seeing right Bath and Body Works is now in Canada!! Soo long are the days of taking those trips to Buffalo, New York in search of your Bath and Body Works fix IT'S RIGHT HERE!!! I had the pleasure of receiving an invite to the launch and I wasn't disappointed!! I have been using this brand for years and I am tickled to my Japanese Cherry Blossom (an amazing new scent from BBW) that it is finally here!

First off if you are heading out to the various locations that are now open you are in for a scentual surprise!From their famous body washes,lotions and body splashes they are known for; they also have an AMAZING home fragrance line! These scents will leave your house smelling like,spiced cider,creamy nutmeg(my fav)to pineapple mango and much more!
